I am glad to introduce you all to Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, also known as Dr. Trip. He is our Medical Director at Hilltop Animal Hospital. Dr. Tripathi did DVM from TANUVAS and later got certified from Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Tripathi has also done his masters in Veterinary Parasitology and Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases from the University of Notre Dame, IN. Before joining the clinical settings, Dr.Trip was a research associate professor at Loyola Medical School of Chicago and Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Trip has done excellent in academic settings for blood pressure regulation, cardiovascular biology, bioinformatics, and molecular medicine. He’s even published more than 20 highly peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Trip is a board member of various Veterinary, Parasitology, and Physiology Medical Associations.
Dr. Trip uses his integrative approach for medical diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Trip believes in client education, and their involvement in pet treatment and strongly urges clients to be a part of the treatment plan. He has a mantra for the clinic. Pets are better than Humans. No offense to anyone. Enjoys cooking, gardening, and hiking in his free time.
Dr. Kotev is a highly skilled veterinary surgeon with extensive experience in a wide range of orthopedic, abdominal, and other surgical procedures. His expertise is rooted in years of rigorous training and practical experience. He earned his degree in Veterinary Medical Science from the prestigious Thracian University, College of Veterinary Medicine in Bulgaria, where he graduated with high honors. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Kotev demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence, which he continues to bring into his veterinary practice today, ensuring the highest standard of care for his patients.
Office Manager/Veterinary Technician
Vanessa became part of the team in October of 2021, and was able to experience Hilltop's transition of ownership. Vanessa studied Animal Science during her college years, and looking to expand her education into the Veterinary field. Outside of work Vanessa enjoys spending time with her 3 children and her 5 dogs!
Veterinary Technician
Erick is a biochemistry major which encompasses biological and chemical science. He enjoys spending time in the lab and reading about genes. He hopes to be admitted into the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine next year. Pre-vet track. He has two Bengal cats named Nairobi and Helsinki. Erick would like to one day be part of the research team in charge of bringing back extinct species. For now, he enjoys taking care of your fur-babies.
Veterinary Technician
Elizabeth became part of the team in April of 2024. She has 1 dog; Rika who loves being outside and with other animals. Elizabeth always knew she wanted to work with animals, during High School she started volunteering at Hilltop, previously owned by a different Doctor. In her free time she enjoys working out and being with family.
